Impact
- Creekside Park communications: BCPOA facilitated communications between Creekside owners and BCRC in the final plans of
the new Creekside Park. We listened to the concerns of our members and made sure they had a “seat at the table” with those
designing the park. Owners’ concerns were addressed and plans were adjusted. - Pickleball court noise: We heard from some of our members living in close proximity to the new pickleball courts that the noise
was a serious issue. Among other efforts, BCPOA worked with BCC and BCRC to have quieter paddles mandated. - CO state lodging tax increase: BCPOA helped defeat the proposed 4x tax increase on those property owners who rent their BC
property on a short-term basis (less than 90 days). - Arcadian Housing Project: BCPOA does not object to development but does support responsible development in accordance with
the applicable rules and regulations. The Arcadian housing project on the steep untouched slope at the end of Beaver Creek Drive
raised serious environmental concerns. We made efforts to understand the project impact and Inform authorities of our
concerns. The final approved project consists of about ½ of the units in the original scope.
- Vilar: The BCPOA sponsors one summer and three winter Vilar performances each year. Ticketed BCPOA members are invited to a pre-show reception in the May Gallery Patrons Lounge. The BCPOA currently has tickets available for the Matt Nathanson show on March 27. Sign up for a new membership to receive two complimentary tickets and attend the pre-show reception!
- Summer Picnic: The BCPOA subsidizes a July picnic for all BCPOA members
- Elk Horn lift (#14): Last winter, initially, VR only opened lift #14 for a limited number of hours in the morning, resulting in skiers
stranded when they skied to the lift to find it was closed. BCPOA communicated the problem to VR and the lift hours were
extended. - Discounts for Members: BCPOA recently negotiated discounts for current members at 4 Beaver Creek Village restaurants. We
look forward to adding restaurants and, hopefully, merchants in the coming months. Your BCPOA membership now has additional
value! - Childrens Fountain: The BCPOA donated new lighting to the Children’s fountain
- Creekside Park: The BCPOA donated picnic tables to make the park experience even more enjoyable for all
