Impact
- Creekside Park communications: BCPOA facilitated communications between Creekside owners and BCRC in the final plans of the new Creekside Park. We listened to the concerns of our members and made sure they had a “seat at the table” with those designing the park. Owners’ concerns were addressed and plans were adjusted.
- Pickleball court noise: Members living near the BC Tennis Center expressed frustration with the noise created from the new pickleball courts. In response, BCPOA collaborated with BCC and BCRC to find a compromise. The BC Tennis Center implemented “quiet paddles,” installed sound barrier panels, and ensured courts can only be accessed during operating hours. After evaluating all options, we reached a solution that avoided eliminating Pickleball from Beaver Creek while ensuring homeowners can enjoy their peaceful environment.
- CO state lodging tax increase: BCPOA helped defeat the proposed 4x tax increase on those property owners who rent their BC property on a short-term basis (less than 90 days).
- Development in Beaver Creek: BCPOA supports responsible development that adheres to all rules. When new developments have raised concerns, BCPOA has engaged experts to understand the projects’ impacts, and inform authorities of community concerns, ensuring all regulations are closely followed.
- BCPOA members enjoy exclusive cocktail receptions in the May Gallery Patrons Lounge before four BCPOA-sponsored performances at the Vilar Performing Arts Center—three in the winter and one in the summer each year.
- Annual Summer Picnic, 4th of July weekend at the Chop House with music, great food, and fun activities for the kids – a great family event! (July 5, 2025)
Special Events
- Exclusive members only “Behind the Scenes” tour at the Vilar.
- “Picnic in the Park” at Creekside Park hosted by BCPOA and Beaver Creek Resort Company (BCRC); all community members welcome. (August 10, 2025)
- Elk Horn lift (#14): Last winter, initially, VR only opened lift #14 for a limited number of hours in the morning, resulting in skiers
stranded when they skied to the lift to find it was closed. BCPOA communicated the problem to VR and the lift hours were
extended. - Discounts for Members: BCPOA recently negotiated discounts for current members at 4 Beaver Creek Village restaurants. We
look forward to adding restaurants and, merchants in the coming months. Your BCPOA membership has greater value! - Childrens Fountain: BCPOA donated new lighting to the Children’s fountain.
- Creekside Park: BCPOA donated picnic tables to make the park experience even more enjoyable for all.
- Beautification: We support various landscaping and beautification along Village Road.
